It is not just for moving paper-based curriculum to the Internet, but for creating an online learning community with group collaboration and personalized facilitation and communication

With this product, you can develop and deliver unlimited learning programs to large audience, easily administer curricula, courses, modules, assessments, and certificates as well as their layout and display. And you can also easily administer and supervise learner groups, individual learners, coaches, learner-to-learner communication, learner-to-coach communication, and learning progress and status.

A: Yes, the GLS can deliver any curriculum in which learning contents are in text, image, slide, video, audio, and other multimedia formats.

Q: Is it easy to update learning content in GLS?
A: Yes, the curriculum designer only needs to type learning content in Text Editors and click buttons, they do not require any knowledge in programming. Also the curriculum designer can select colors and page layouts for homepage and courses.

Q: How many learners can the GLS accommodate?
A: The GLS has been designed to accommodate an unlimited number of learners.

Q: How many curricula, courses, and modules can GLS accommodate?
A: The GLS has been designed to accommodate an unlimited number of curricula, courses, and modules.

Q: Can we use one course or module in multiple curricula?
A: Yes, the GLS has a course and a module database so that you can easily customise your curricula or courses to meet any learning and training needs. To construct a curriculum or course, you just list courses or modules, and select courses or modules for a curriculum, then put them in an order you want. Different curricula can share a same course or module, as well as its assessments and FAQs.

Q: Can I set up a group of learners and then assign the group to a particular curriculum?
A: Yes, you can set up a group and then add members (learners) to the group. When you assign a group to a curriculum, all group members are assigned to the curriculum too. This is easy for curriculum or program administration. In addition, you can assign a group to an unlimited number of curricula in an order you want them to be.

Q: Can one learner study more than one curriculum at the same time?
A: No, a learner will follow the curriculum order that the curriculum designer sets for the learner. Learner must complete one curriculum before he or she can move to next curriculum.

Q: Can I change the color and display of a curriculum and a course? How?
A: Yes, to change the display of a curriculum, just click E-learning Config in the back end, and choose one template from three styles. And then you can go further choosing background colors for a course in List Course. All modules in one course will have the same background color.

Q: Can I use different logo images for different curriculum and course?
A: Yes, you can use different logo images to identify different courses, and a logo image will be displayed on top of every course. Also you can have a site logo to be displayed on the homepage.

Q: In a module, can I use Multimedia to assist learning?
A: Yes, you can upload an image file, a movie and audio file, a Word Processing file, a PowerPoint file, a PDF file, and other file formats, and attach (integrate) them to a module, question, even answers, but only one file at a time. If you need to upload more than one, you can integrate them into the web pages. Learners can either download the file or open the file online.

Q: Can I display module learning content in different formats?
A: Yes, in addition to our current features that enable you to display various formats of learning content in various ways, you can also use simple HTML or other languages to integrate additional features into a module content, and display the content in a way you want.

Q: Can I deliver a module for different learning purposes?
A: Yes. You can deliver reading only, writing only, or hands-on only modules by just choosing the Symbol File type in the List Module in the back end.

Q: Can I create online tests or quizzes? If yes, how can I monitor results?
A: Yes, you can create one comprehensive online assessment for every module, and the system will automatically assess the answers and calculate grades. Assessment can be multiple-choice questions or True/False questions. You can also decide how many times a learner can re-take and how many questions would be displayed on every page as well as the percentage of correct answers for passing the assessment.

In addition, for each assessment question and its answers, you can attach one image file to present additional information.

Q: Can learners take notes while learning?
A: Yes, learners can take notes, and view, edit, and archive notes in the section called My Notebook.

Q: Can learners track their own learning progress? How?
A: Yes, learners can click My Progress and track their learning status and progress, which include completed course or module, completion percentage of a course or module, and a grade for an assessment.

Q: Does the GLS facilitate communications between learner and coach?
A: The GLS has an area called My Mail in the section My Messenger for learner-to-coach interaction. A learner can initiate messages to a coach and read replies from the coach. A learner can only view and respond to any massage addressed to him or her from the coach. In addition, a coach can deliver a note to a particular learner or a group of learners and display it at the bottom of the news window on very login. In this way, personal and private facilitation from a coach is achieved.

Q: Does the GLS facilitate communications among learners?
A: Yes, the GLS has an area called Learning Community in the section My Messenger for learner-to-learner interaction and one-to-many communication. It is a public bulletin board for learners to exchange information. Learners can post messages, view peers postings, and respond to postings. This function maximizes the sharing of knowledge and ideas, facilitates group discussions and fosters a collaborative learning environment.

Q: How can a curriculum designer supervise communications between coach and learner?
A: In Messenger section in the back end, administrators can view a report that summarizes information on when, what, and how many messages a coach has communicated with how many learners. You can also go to My Mail and Learning Community and view the detail message content.

Q: How can a curriculum designer and coach monitor learners progress and status?
A: A curriculum designer only needs to login the system's back end, and access My Learner or Report Card. It will provide detail information about what courses/modules have been learned, completion percentage of a course, and grades on assessments, as well as start date and end date.

Q: Can I assign a coach to a learner or a learner to a coach? How?
A: Yes, once you set up a coach profile in the back end, just click List Coach, and select a learner or multiple learners to a coach. To assign a learner to coach, just click List Learner, and select a coach or multiple coaches to a learner. With this function, you can assign more than one coach to help a slow learner who need more facilitation.

Q: Does the GLS have a FAQ section to answer common questions arising from learners?
A: Yes, by adding FAQ questions, you can answer questions based on courses. It is easy for learners to find and search a question and an answer.
